Homeschoolopoly™ - An Opportunity For Giving

Homeschoolopoly™ Is a Game For All Homeschool Families |
Creators of Homeschoolopoly™ , Greg and Pamela Berthume, did more than just create the world's first homeschool board game, they used their small business as a tool to bless needy homeschoolers across the nation.
In the summer of 2006, Greg asked "Why isn't there an 'opoly' for homeschoolers?" The Berthumes researched the topic and found that indeed "there was not another board game with the word 'homeschool' on the face of the earth!" So Greg and Pamela worked to design the world's first homeschool board game.
The Berthumes' game was "not only designed solely by and for homeschoolers, [but] the 'properties' in this fun game are real homeschool companies!" Some of the companies included in the game are: HSLDA, Sonlight Curriculum, World Magazine, The Old Schoolhouse Magazine, Cornerstone Curriculum, and KONOS!
In addition to designing a great game, the Berthumes have also let their business be used for a great cause. Greg and Pamela are working with the Home School Foundation to bless needy homeschoolers across the nation by providing Homeschoolopoly™ board games to all the families being assisted by the Foundation. The Berthumes cover the cost of shipping and handling, as well as a free Homeschoolopoly™ board game which includes additional homeschooling coupon discounts and materials in their packages.
So why would a small and growing business make such a sacrificial contribution to the families of the Home School Foundation? Pamela answers that "As Christians we are to help those in need, especially the widows and single parents. God gave us the entire idea and inspiration for Homeschoolopoly™ and… He desires everything we do to be a blessing to homeschoolers."

Greg and Pamela have also been blessed by the recipients of their giving. Pamela recounts "We walk to the mailbox and there is yet another heartfelt, often handwritten letter of gratitude and thanks. Some share their stories with us; others share how the game and coupons have been such a blessing to them."
For Greg and Pamela "the biggest lesson we at Homeschoolopoly™ have learned from working with the Home School Foundation is simply this: There is no greater joy than to give to another who is in need."
