"Like Angels Sent By God"
When it comes to reaching families in hard times, the state and community ambassadors of the Home School Foundation Ambassador Program are going above and beyond the call of duty. Recently, in Massachusetts, State Ambassadors Bob and Darlene Muto were “angels sent by God” to the Riendeau family who happened to be in need of God’s provision for their school books and supplies. Mrs. Riendeau wrote the following in a note of thanks:
“What a wonderful gift we have received from the Home School Foundation Ambassador Program! Thank you so very much for helping our family with our homeschool curriculum. Also, we must thank Bob and Darlene who were instrumental in getting us these funds.
“I wanted to share our story with you. Last year, my husband, Daniel, and I had decided to homeschool our four girls for the school year 2013-2014. The two older girls, Angelina and Chalise, had been enrolled in the public elementary school and were very unhappy and had been begging us to allow them to homeschool. We had such a successful year and were so happy and excited to begin yet another year 2014-2015.
“My husband’s company, however, had closed its doors since the owner retired and we were suddenly faced with financial hardship. I had told the girls that we should pray and if it is God’s will that we homeschool, He would provide a way for us, since we had no funds of our own to purchase curriculum. Then, like angels sent by God, Bob and Darlene Muto approached me in Hannaford Parking Lot saying they were HSF Ambassadors and handed me their card saying if we ever needed help or support to call. What a miracle!
“Well, here we are in October, and have received enough funds from HSF to start our schooling and the girls are so delighted! If it wasn’t for these donors, HSF and our prayers, I know we would never be where we are now in homeschooling. I cannot express enough my gratitude and the girls are so very thankful! God bless you all!”
