Kids Curriculum Fund
M I S S I O N
The Kids Curriculum Fund helps provide curriculum to homeschooling families who are struggling financially to meet their children’s needs.
The Kids Curriculum Fund (previously called the Curriculum Relief Fund) helps homeschool families who are struggling to make ends meet by taking some of the pressure of purchasing curriculum off their shoulders. All of the funds may be used for core curriculum (math, science, English, reading, and history/geography), but no more than 25% of the funds may be used for electives (such as music, art, foreign language, and physical education). Grants are given based on financial need and the availability of funds. Please note, you must be homeschooling for at least six months prior to application. HSLDA membership is not required for first time applicants. Repeat applicants should be established HSLDA members for at least six months prior to reapplying.
The Kids Curriculum Fund also sponsors our Homeschool Starter Kits, which is a gift to encourage brand new homeschoolers. If you are interested in sponsoring a Starter Kit, learn more about them here.
As the economic situation in America became more difficult, the Foundation received an increasing number of requests from families who did not fit into any of our existing funds yet were seriously struggling to give their children a quality education. So in 2008, HSF created the Curriculum Relief Fund (changed in 2014 to the Kids Curriculum Fund) to help these families. As God provides the funds, HSF in turn, provides help for families in need.
