FUNDS: PHC Scholarship Fund
Mission
The Patrick Henry College Scholarship for HSLDA members rewards academic excellence and exemplary leadership through tuition scholarships to Patrick Henry College.
Who is Patrick Henry College?
Located in Purcellville, Virginia, PHC aspires to equip Christian young people with the character and skills essential for being influential leaders in our government and culture. Specifically appealing to homeschoolers, PHC offers challenging academic programs accompanied by a unique apprenticeship methodology. PHC's administration and faculty are committed to providing an environment where students from a wide variety of backgrounds will be spiritually encouraged and stretched by their instructors as well as their peers.
Story
Like most college students, those who attend Patrick Henry College (PHC) face the challenge of funding their education. However, unlike many other colleges, PHC does not accept federal student loans, creating the need for its students to find funding from other sources.

In 2001, HSLDA had the opportunity to grant scholarships to several Patrick Henry College students who were in need of financial assistance. Witnessing the blessing that these scholarships proved to be, and further desiring to support HSLDA member students attending Patrick Henry College, the Home School Foundation decided to create the Patrick Henry College Scholarship Fund for HSLDA Members
Last year, the Foundation gave a select number of freshmen scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $1,500. These students are those who have shown outstanding academic achievement, exceptional community service, and are in need of financial assistance.

Testimonies
Being Where God Wants You
“I would like to express my gratitude for the PHC scholarship your organization awarded me. Deciding to attend PHC took a leap of faith because of the financial situation. However, when I found out I had received a scholarship from the Home School Foundation, I was sure the Lord was providing for me. He has continually shown me I am where He wants me to be, and He has used the scholarship to tremendously bless me and my family.”

Now, paying for my freshman year looks possible. I am looking forward to attending PHC this fall and preparing to be a Godly influence in the political world.”
