International Homeschooling Fund
HSLDA has established a working relationship with homeschool organizations in over 37 countries where homeschooling is emerging as a viable movement. More than ever before, families around the world are joining with HSLDA in the struggle to secure their right to direct the upbringing and education of their children in their homeland.
In some countries, families are restricted completely from homeschooling. In others, they must work to fit within the strict limits of the law to continue homeschooling. In most of these countries, homeschooling is generally an unfamiliar concept, so families are fighting for social as well as legal acceptance.
The needs of the international homeschoolers are vast and diverse. The Home School Foundation, through its International Fund, is working to further the cause of homeschooling in these countries. We have helped with needs such as translating materials, supporting the parent’s efforts in homeschooling their children, and assisting homeschool organizations with legal challenges and start up costs.
The monies donated to the International Fund, or to the specific countries within, will be used to meet the current needs in the country you designate. After meeting the known homeschooling needs in this country, if there are any remaining funds, this money will be transferred to the Foundation’s International Fund to be used to meet homeschooling needs in other countries.
