FUNDS: Compassion Fund

Mission

The Compassion Fund provides assistance to homeschooling families in need, awards grants to homeschooling groups, and supports the operations of the Foundation.

Who Does It Help?

All undesignated gifts to the Home School Foundation go to our Compassion Fund. Monies in this fund are used to cover the Foundation’s printing costs, give grants to local homeschool support groups around the country, and support other homeschooling-related causes.

Through the Emergency Response arm of this fund, the Home School Foundation is poised to respond to the urgent needs of homechooling families involved in natural disasters, house fires, and similar emergencies.

Group Grants

Additionally, this fund makes grants available to HSLDA discount groups with 10 or more HSLDA member families. These grants are awarded to assist with projects that benefit the homeschool community and like-minded organizations that advance homeschooling.
