Story Behind the Friends of Home Schooling Fund
The Friends of Home Schooling Fund was initially inspired by requests from “retired” homeschool parents who had graduated their last students. This fund enables anyone to make tax-deductible contributions in support of the tax-exempt activities of the Home School Legal Defense Association.
Who is HSLDA?
Since 1983, HSLDA has continued to fight battles with local and federal government officials, providing consultation, correspondence, and negotiation on behalf of parents, and zealously representing its families in court—all the way to the Supreme Court if necessary. HSLDA also monitors state and federal legislation, alerting families to harmful bills that may affect homeschool freedoms. But they cannot do this without support. They need friends who will stick “closer than a brother.”
The Home School Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation that serves as a strategic partner with HSLDA in advocating for homeschool freedoms and opportunities.

To make a donation today, visit our online donation page. A minimum percentage of each fund is used to cover support costs.
