Story Behind the Children of Single Parents Fund
| “Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.” — Psalm 82:3 |
A concerned father approached the Home School Foundation about his burden to assist homeschooling single parents. Whether they had been formerly abused or abandoned, his desire was to minister to women who were committed to the Lord, to their children, and to homeschooling. Through his vision and vast generosity, the Children of Single Parents Fund was born.
The Purpose of the Fund
The Home School Foundation recognizes the struggles many single parents face in their commitment to homeschool. This fund is designed to assist Christian women in extreme circumstances, who are training their children in the Lord.
The focus is on children who, through no fault of their own, experience financial hardship during their homeschooling years. This grant provides assistance to help these families overcome obstacles that hinder successful homeschooling.
How to Apply for Scholarship
Children of Single Parent grants are based on a highly selective review process, financial need, and the availability of funds. Our grants are not intended to provide ongoing assistance or income and are limited to one per family. For more information, please call or mail your request using the information provided below.
